Spinach-Masoor Dal Chilla

Ingredients

  • 1 cup split red lentils (masoor dal)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Ghee for cooking

Instructions

  1. Soak masoor dal in water for 2-3 hours. Drain and rinse.
  2. Blend the soaked dal with garlic, ginger, green chilies, and salt to make a smooth batter.
  3. Mix in chopped spinach and onions.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan, grease it with ghee, and pour a ladleful of batter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly to make a thin pancake.
  6. Cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite chutney.
