Vegetable Stuffed Ragi Pitha

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 2/3 cup ragi flour
  • Water (as required)
  • 2 small onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1 small capsicum
  • 1 small carrot
  • 6 beans
  • 1 small potato
  • 2 dsp oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 green chili
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop vegetables.
  2. Blanch all vegetables except onion.
  3. Heat oil, stir-fry chili, onion, ginger, and garlic paste.
  4. Add blanched vegetables, salt, and other spices. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Make dough by mixing flour with water.
  6. Divide dough and fillings into six portions.
  7. Roll out each dough portion into a small oval shape.
  8. Place fillings in the center and bring the edges together in a round shape.
  9. Boil water, put the balls into boiling water, and cook for 15 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with chutney.
