Vegetable Moong Dal Dosa/Pesarattu

Ingredients

  • 1 cup split moong dal (yellow or green)
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal in water for 4-6 hours. Drain and rinse.
  2. Blend the soaked dal along with green chilies, ginger, and salt to make a smooth batter.
  3. Mix in chopped onions, tomatoes, carrots, and coriander leaves.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a thin pancake.
  5. Cook on both sides until golden brown with ghee.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
